A newly-revealed date found chiseled into a cornerstone, although worn by years of exposure, has put the date of construction of the springhouse at Oliver Miller Homestead squarely in the 1700’s. Like anything more than two centuries old, our springhouse needed a little work! That’s why we reached out to B&B Masonry, owned by Brandon Bane, to repoint this fine old structure. Work has commenced and will look beautiful once it is complete. We are grateful for Allegheny County’s help in this measure as they sponsored the project in full. Be sure to check it out at any of our upcoming events!
