The Eighth Pennsylvania Regiment of the Continental Line will be encamped on the grounds of the Oliver Miller Homestead on Sunday afternoon, October 11 from 1:30 to 4:30 PM. See drill and camp cooking demonstrations, inspect a typical a camp set-up, learn about the 8th’s involvement in the Revolutionary War.
John and William, sons of Oliver and Mary Miller, enlisted with the Eighth Pennsylvania Regiment. They also served as part of Daniel Morgan’s Rifles, an elite group of sharpshooters who saw action at the Battle of Saratoga.
All buildings will be open. The Stone House is open for a walk through tour of the first floor. Any or all outdoor activities may be canceled due to inclement weather.
