Opening Day – May 18th – Fiber, Fabric, and Fashion

From flax to linen and sheep to shoulder, come and see how the people of the frontier clothed themselves. This event gives special attention to not only how clothing was made, but also the styles in which it was worn. We are excited to announce two special guests will be joining us this year. Jessica Young, a Williamsburg-trained clothier and proprietor of Penny River Costumes, will display her fantastic historic wardrobe and narrate our fashion show at 2:00 PM! Also adding to the day will be Ross Farms with a live sheep-shearing demonstration.

The cost, as usual, is $2.00 cash per person at the gate. We are open from 1:30 – 4:30 PM, last admittance at 4:00 PM. Come see us! For more information, visit or message us on Facebook.
