The Oliver Miller Homestead Associates invited descendants of Oliver Miller and Mary Tidball Miller to a special family reunion weekend from Friday July 15 to Sunday, July 17. Over thirty people attended all or some of the activities, including descendants from as close as Bethel Park, West Virginia, Maryland and Virginia and as far as Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Arizona and California. The Homestead’s Whiskey Rebellion Day, which also included a special breakfast and raffle for descendants, was the highlight of the reunion.
The OMH Associates enjoy the honor of preserving the historic site and the Miller family’s history – especially the family’s ties to the Whiskey Rebellion of 1794. Of all the group’s volunteers, only two members are descended from the Oliver Miller or the Tidball family.
