December 3rd – Frontier Holiday Traditions – Last Event!

The Scots Irish pioneers who carved life out of western Pennsylvania brought with them old-world traditions that included music, dancing, pomp, and ceremony. This year, we are excited to welcome some of our favorite guests to the homestead!

In the barn, the Scottish Country Dancers will be displaying traditional dances from the old world.

In the log home, our own Alex Brown will be joined by friends to play medleys of tunes from the old world brought here to northern Appalachia.

In the main house, Sarah Middlemiss, a lauded local harpist, will be soothing our guests as they enjoy a traditional tea set.

This is our last event of the year. The times and cost are usual: 1:30 – 4:30 PM, gates close at 4:00 PM. $2.00 cash per person at the gate.
