December 1st – Frontier Holiday Traditions

On Sunday, December 1st, Oliver Miller Homestead will have its final event of the season. End-of-the-year holidays and celebrations were wide and varied in early America. The Millers, predominantly Scots-Irish, also had a tinge of English in them through Oliver’s wife, Mary, and many of their neighbors were German. Their unique traditions blended into what we know today. Join us as we celebrate the seasons changing, the end of the year, and the ringing in of the new with dancing, music, and traditional displays.

The times are usual from 1:30 – 4:30 PM, last admittance at 4:00 PM. The cost is $2.00 cash per person at the gate. We look forward to seeing you one last time in 2024!
